Konnichi wa! Habari za Mchana! Good afternoon!
It is a great honour and privilege for us to host you today at Tanzania House and, indeed your second home as always it has been. I therefore want to thank sincerely each one for accepting our invitation.
But I also want to thank mostly The One Book Association (OBA) for having who conceived the idea of these coffee gatherings and especially, for always working hard to have them as planned. As we say in Kiswahili language asanteni sana.
I am equally heartened to know that this isn’t first time we are having this event at the Embassy. That you are also doing this so passionately and without any strings and conditions attached, is quite a great thing to us. We wish to sincerely appreciate it and we hope this will long partnership pcontinue to thrive for many years to come. And as we say in Nihongo, arigato gozaimasu.
Dear Friends,
I want to take advantage of this opportunity to thank you for the good work that you are doing for the welfare of our children and gender empowerment, in developing countries and especially in Tanzania, in particular. We value your work as it affects the most critical section of our population.
The Child, as they say, is the Father of the Man. Whatever you are doing to them, will go a long way in their future and therefore to our country. So, please keep doing this great and noble work and God will bless you abundantly.
Friends,
Let me mention to you that today's event gives another opportunity to learn more about Tanzania's rich cultural heritage and so many unique tourist attractions.
Even those of you who have been to Tanzania before will be astonished to hear about them, and you will undoubtedly want to visit again.
Kazuma-San is well prepared for this assignment and therefore I do not want to attempt giving those details to you, but I will let him do that.
In addition, you will also have opportunity to see for yourself through a famous documentary done by Her Excellency President Samia Suluhu Hassan, namely The Tanzania Royal Tour which has been translated into Japanese. language. The documentary is currently trending and widely available on social media. You will certainly like it.
Dear Friends,
As the name of this event suggests, we have planned a coffee hour during which you will be able to socialize while tasting the finest coffee in the world, The Kilimanjaro Coffee, as well as sipping the highest quality tea from Tanzania. Added to it, you will have the favourite bites of different tastes from Tanzania. So, I can only wish you a good appetite for all that.
Let me conclude by once again welcoming you to Tanzania, the land of natural wonders and unforgettable experiences such as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world (its height is 5,895 meters above sea level); touring in the largest Serengeti National Park and in the volcanic crater at Ngorongoro, as well as relaxing on Zanzibar's finest beaches.
You may wish to note that Tanzania has recently been ranked fourth in natural beauty and entered the group of 10 countries listed for natural beauty in the world. This is evident through the World Report on Natural Beauty (Natural Beauty Report) produced by the Association for the Promotion of Tourism to Africa which collected statistics and information from travellers worldwide.
Lastly, Tanzania boasts of being a beautiful nation, with friendly, welcoming people and the ideal environment, making it suitable for your travel-related adventures and subsequently your investment.
I therefore, invite all of you to come and taste the warmth, kindness and hospitality by the people of Tanzania.
I wish you a pleasant moment together here at Tanzania House.
Karibuni sana;Tanzania e Yoko so; Arigatou gozaimasu!
