On 27 August 2024, His Excellency Ambassador Baraka Luvanda participated in a roundtable meeting alongside other African Ambassadors and Diplomats in Japan, focusing on the Japan’s potential contribution to transforming the education system in Africa.
The Global Partnership for Education (#GPE) and the Association of African Economy & Development (#AFRECO) organized the meeting to facilitate collaboration and idea exchange between African and Japanese leaders, aiming to improve education standards and promote sustainable development in Africa.
Ambassador Luvanda and fellow African envoys underscored the need for collaboration and investment in education as a fundamental driver for fostering economic growth and alleviating poverty in the region.
The roundtable meeting highlighted the potential for Japan to impart its expertise and resources to African nations and emphasized the significance of establishing equitable access to education for all.
