On 11th November 2022, the Embassy delivered a lecture about Tanzania at Osaka Jogakuin University, located in the center of Osaka, Japan. Ms. Edna D. Chuku, First Secretary of the Embassy (Economic Affairs), represented Ambassador Baraka H. Luvanda at a lecture session attended by around 25 students enrolled in the University's leadership and peace programme.
Prior to the lecture, Ms. Chuku had the opportunity to attend the Peace as Global Language (PGL) Conference and Exhibition organized by Kobe Peace Research Institute on 10th November, 2022 in Kobe, which was also attended by dignitaries from the City of Kobe and Osaka. She then met with senior University officials and had the opportunity to discuss the importance of educational exchange programs between the two countries.
The presentation at Osaka Jogakuin University focused on Post-COVID leadership in Tanzania-Japan Relations. Students appreciated the opportunity to learn more about Tanzania, particularly in the context of leadership and pointed out that the information shared will significantly enrich their studies and research works.
