Tokyo, 1 November 2026
Officials from the Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania in Japan poses for a group photograph with leaders of the Yoga Community Club (YCC) during the YCC Festival held in Tokyo on 1 November 2026.
For the fourth consecutive year, the Embassy participated in the festival through a dedicated Tanzanian booth, showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage, diverse mineral resources and tourism attractions.
The Embassy also maintains a longstanding relationship with the Yoga Community Club through Swahili language classes traditionally conducted by spouses of Tanzanian Ambassadors to Japan, contributing to cultural exchange and mutual understanding between the peoples of Tanzania and Japan.
The Tanzanian booth attracted numerous visitors, particularly through its popular Kilimanjaro Coffee tasting experience, accompanied by traditional Tanzanian delicacies, including maandazi and sambusa (samosas).
The Embassy’s continued participation in the festival underscores its commitment to promoting Tanzania’s cultural heritage, tourism and economic opportunities while further strengthening cultural diplomacy and people-to-people relations between Tanzania and Japan.
