Mr. Nobuto Hosaka, Mayor of Setagaya City, visited the Tanzanian booth during the Yoga Community Club (YCC) Festival held on 1 November 2026, reflecting the longstanding cultural friendship and people-to-people relations between Tanzania and Japan.
Pictured with the Mayor are Mr. Herman E. Berege, Minister Plenipotentiary at the Embassy of Tanzania in Japan; Ms. Eugeni Mwesoumo, Counsellor; and Ms. Suzan Mutatembwa, spouse of the Tanzanian Ambassador to Japan and Swahili language teacher at the Yoga Community Club.
The visit provided an opportunity to showcase Tanzania’s rich cultural heritage and further strengthen cultural exchange and friendship with the local Japanese community.
