The Embassy accompanied Tanzania Investment Center (TIC) in a two-day Business and Investment Seminar organized by JICA in partnership with World Business Associates Ltd., held in Tokyo, Japan, from November 11 to 12, 2024. The seminar is part of JICA's program on Investment Promotion and Business Environment Reform (Advanced) which includes officials from ministries and organizations responsible for investment promotion in African and Asian countries.
The event aimed to showcase investment opportunities in Africa and Asia to Japanese companies and was conducted in both in-person and virtual formats, providing a broad platform for engagement of more than 500 participants. Following the seminar, there were bilateral discussions with key Japanese investors, which will continue for the whole week with courtesy visits to their respective companies to forge closer partnerships.
Tanzania is one of ten African countries selected by JICA for this two - weeks Investment Promotion mission. Thanks to JICA and World Business Associates Co., Ltd. for organizing such a comprehensive event, which allowed participants to engage with prominent Japanese investors.
