On December 13, 2023, seven (7) Adachi Gakuen Junior and Senior High School students and two (2) teachers paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy and were warmly welcomed by the Embassy staff. Mr. Takurou Komine explained that the purpose of their visit was to provide feedback on their successful trip to Tanzania which was held in July 2023 where they stayed for about one week.
Mr. Komine stated that, during their tour in Tanzania students had an opportunity to visit various areas including, Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Mtu wa Mbu, Karatu, Manyara, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and Serengeti National Park. In Karatu and Mtu wa Mbu, they visited a coffee farm and a secondary school where they actively interacted with 1,200 students. They also joined a cultural tour and tasted local cuisine.
He concluded his remarks by complimenting Tanzanian people for their hospitality and revealing that the experience shared inspired them to organize the third trip to Tanzania with a different group of students in July next year.
On their part, students shared their experiences while in Tanzania, stating that it was an enjoyable and memorable time in their lives. They pointed out that their visit to Tanzania will greatly enrich their studies and understanding about the country as well as bring Tanzania to the attention of their colleagues.
In delivering a message on behalf of H.E. Ambassador Baraka Luvanda, Mr. Greyson Ishengoma thanked Adachi Gakuen Junior and Senior High School for their eagerness to visit Tanzania again and urged them to become Goodwill Ambassadors of Tanzania by continuing to share good memories and experiences they had about the country with their peers and Japanese who have never been in Tanzania.
