The Embassy was pleased to welcome representatives of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) to the Chancery today. The discussions focused on the potential business opportunities in Tanzania for their client - interested in investing in the country's Agriculture sector.
SMBC representatives were provided with the necessary information and connected with relevant institutions in Tanzania to support their client’s investment interests. As always, the Embassy is open to assisting institutions like SMBC in their business ventures and fostering business connections. Tanzania is a safe and reliable country with a wide variety of investment incentives and opportunities to lure Japanese companies to invest.
SMBC is a member of the Keindaren - Japanese Business Federation, participated in the Keidanren Roundtable Seminar during the Tanzania Investment Promotion Mission in Japan, led by H.E. Ambassador Baraka Luvanda and Mr. Gilead Teri, the Executive Director of Tanzania Investment Center (TIC), in May 2024.
