On 17 August 2026 in Yokohama, H.E. Ambassador Anderson Mutatembwa, Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania to Japan, had the honour of receiving six fire engines on behalf of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania from Mr. Sato Shinsuke, Director General for International Affairs of the Japan Firefighters Association.
The handover represents a valuable contribution to the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Tanzania and Japan, reflecting the spirit of solidarity and partnership between our two countries. The fire engines will contribute to strengthening firefighting, emergency response and public safety in Tanzania.
