On 30 August 2024, the Embassy participated in a Special Seminar organized by JICA at the Organization's Headquarters to receive presentations from university students benefiting through the "KIZUNA" Program sponsored by JICA. The KIZUNA program focuses on developing human resources and strengthening the network of experts in the mining sector for sustainable development. The program was launched in 2014 to support the development of the mining sector in developing countries, including Tanzania.
During the Seminar, two Tanzanian PhD students studying at Kyushu University under the sponsorship of the KIZUNA Program presented a topic about the development of the mining sector in Tanzania. More than fifty (50) students, beneficiaries of the Program from various countries, participated in the seminar.
