On 8th June 2022, H.E. Ambassador H. Luvanda met with the new JICA Representative for Tanzania, Mr. Asano Seizaburo. Their exchange centered around the excellent bilateral relations between Tanzania and Japan through JICA as well as deliberating on the ongoing projects being implemented by JICA in Tanzania. 

Mr. Seizaburo stated that his assignment to Tanzania will be handling agriculture, education and industrial development sectors. He expressed his joy of getting an opportunity to serve in Tanzania, a country he had wished to be since his childhood. After visiting Tanzania once in 2017, he had a dream of having more time in Tanzania which has now been granted to him. 

On his part, Ambassador Luvanda welcomed Mr. Seizaburo to the Embassy and congratulated him for his new assignment in Tanzania. He gave him the assurance and comfort of a friendly and generally conducive working environment in Tanzania including in the agricultural and industrial sectors on which he will be responsible as JICA representative in Tanzania. 

Ambassador Luvanda also expressed gratitude for the JICA’s support said that Tanzania recognizes JICA's contribution to improving the country’s infrastructure and education system through various JICA’s initiatives of developing quality infrastructure and development studies program in developing countries. He further expressed his request to JICA to expand cooperation and to continue to work side by side with Tanzania. He concluded by wishing him a safe journey to Tanzania and a successful mission during his time in Tanzania.
