On 16th December 2022, Ambassador Luvanda met with the team from the University of Dodoma (UDOM) led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Lughano Kusiluka, who was accompanied by Deputy Vice Chancellor for Planning Finance and Administration, Prof. Wineaster Anderson Saria; Dean of the School of Medicine and Dentistry, Prof. Ipyana Mwampagatwa and Consultant Nephrologist, Dr. Alfred Meremo. The team are in Japan since 11th December 2022 at the invitation of Tokushukai Medical Group.
The discussions, among other things, were focused on the notion of establishing a Center of Excellence for Kidney Transplant at UDOM. The Vice Chancellor acknowledged the Embassy's efforts and expressed confidence for enhanced future collaboration between UDOM and Japanese institutions, particularly in the fields of education and health.
