On November 13th, 2023, His Excellency Ambassador Baraka Luvanda, accompanied by Dr. Kazusue Konoike, Tanzania’s Honorary Consul in Osaka, and Ms. Edna Dioniz Chuku, First Secretary of the Embassy, visited Sanae Kindergarten School in Moriguchi City, Osaka. The Principal and Chairman of the school, Mr. Koichi Yoshikawa, warmly welcomed Ambassador Luvanda and his delegation.

Sanae Kindergarten School was first established in 1950 and is currently home to approximately 600 students. The school has a rich history of relations with Tanzania, dating back to 1970 when Tanzania participated in the WORLD EXPO 1970 held in Osaka. During the 1970 EXPO, students from Sanae Kindergarten visited the Tanzania Pavilion and had a reunion on the National Day of Tanzania.

Mr. Yoshikawa expressed their desire to revisit the Tanzania Pavilion during the National Day of Tanzania at the forthcoming EXPO 2025 OSAKA KANSAI, scheduled for April 13th to October 13th, 2025 in Osaka.

H.E. Ambassador Luvanda expressed his gratitude for the school’s efforts in fostering international connections among children and emphasized the importance of investing in their future. He also assured them of Tanzania's willingness and readiness to collaborate with the school during the upcoming EXPO 2025 event.

Ambassador Luvanda was in Osaka participating in the 3rd International Planning Meeting (3rd IPM) from 13 - 16 November 2023, for preparations of the EXPO 2025, OSAKA KANSAI.
