On January 8, 2025, His Excellency Ambassador Baraka Luvanda joined other distinguished delegates at an event commemorating the five years exchange program on Nutrition improvement in Africa which has been conducted jointly by the Tokyo University of Agriculture (TOKYO NODAI) and The Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) and The Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), with the financial support of the Government of Japan.

In his address, Ambassador Luvanda expressed his appreciation to the Government of Japan for supporting such an important program with remarkable impact to Tanzania and other African countries. He commended the interdisciplinary approach of the program which combined the agricultural sciences, nutrition and community engagement and appealed for expansion of similar collaboration in future.
