On September 10, 2024, Ms. Edna Dioniz Chuku, Counsellor (Economic Affairs) on behalf of H.E Ambassador Baraka Luvanda, received a delegation from ITOEN, Japan's largest beverage company, accompanied by JR Cross Co., which manages the NewDays Convenience Stores along the JR line (Japanese Railway). The discussions focused on the marketing of Tanzania Coffee, widely known in Japan as Kilimanjaro Coffee and currently one of the top three coffee brands in the country🇯🇵
ITOEN was pleased to inform the Embassy about the upcoming launch of "KILIMANJARO BLEND" in collaboration with JR Cross on October 1, 2024, at the NewDays Convenience Stores. They also notified about the introduction of KILIMANJARO, KIBO, and TARIME coffees in collaboration with TULLY's Coffee Japan on October 9, 2024.
The planned launch of Tanzania Coffees in major Japanese coffee stores such as TULLY's Coffee Japan and NewDays in October is expected to further increase the popularity and accessibility of Tanzania Coffee in Japan. This is anticipated to have a positive impact on the coffee industry in Tanzania and contribute to stronger economic relations between our two countries.
