On 12 June 2024, eleven (11) students and two (2) teachers from Adachi Gakuen Junior and Senior High School visited the Embassy and were received by H.E. Ambassador Baraka Luvanda. They informed Ambassador Luvanda about their upcoming visit to Tanzania from 26th July to 7th August, 2024.
During their tour in Tanzania, they are planning to visit various areas including: Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Mt. Kilimanjaro, Serengeti National Park, and Zanzibar. In addition, they will visit the Embassy of Japan in Dar es Salaam; a secondary school in Kiharaka, Bagamoyo; a coffee farm in Karatu; take part in a cultural tour in Mto wa Mbu; and do game drive in Serengeti. Through their exchange with Ambassador and dialogue, the group members deepened their understanding about Tanzania before the visit.
The students also got an opportunity to ask various questions regarding their areas of interest such as Tanzania’s economy, education, business prospects, culture, and the Swahili language. Ambassador Luvanda answered all their questions in details. He further expressed his delight upon hearing the group’s intention and wished them safe travel to Tanzania. He also asked them to become Goodwill Ambassadors of Tanzania once they return to Japan by sharing all information about the country and the people to those Japanese who have never been there.
This is the third batch of Adachi Gakuen High School students visiting Tanzania.
