On 12th February 2024, the Embassy participated in the Tourism Promotion Event called “The Setagaya International Messe”, organized by Setagaya City which took place at Nihon University, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo. The the event was held in form of exhibition as an international exchange where residents of Setagaya City could learn and experience diverse cultures basing on the concept of SDGs with the social realization that “nobody is left behind” as well as focusing on creation of a multi-cultural society. The theme of the event was “Introduction of the culture of your county”.
The Embassy showcased a a range of products produced in Tanzania, including handicrafts and traditional garments unique to the country's culture. Additionally, the Embassy presented delicious Tanzanian snacks such as sambusa, vitumbua and mandazi to the participants of the event, giving them a chance to experience the country's rich and diverse cuisine. Other African countries participated in the event.
The event was a great success, with numerous attendees being able to learn and experience diverse cultures and tourist attractions within the participating countries.
