On October 30, 2023, Mrs. Consolata Luvanda, spouse of H.E. Ambassador Baraka Luvanda, joined other spouses of Heads of Mission and diplomats from African and the Middle East countries at the 21st Ladies' Friendship Association for Africa and the Middle East - Charity Bazaar held in Tokyo. The event was organized by Nihon Chukinto Africa Fujinkai (NCAF) and aimed to raise funds to help individuals in need in Africa and the Middle East countries.
Mrs. Luvanda, together with H.E. Ambassador Luvanda, the spouses of Embassy diplomats and the Embassy staff, showcased a range of products produced in Tanzania, including handicrafts and traditional garments unique to the country's culture. Additionally, she presented delicious Tanzanian delicacies and beverages to the participants of the event, giving them a chance to experience the country's rich and diverse cuisine.
The 21st Charity Bazaar was a great success, with numerous attendees purchasing the products and food on display. The proceeds of the bazaar went towards supporting various charitable causes aimed at improving the lives of people in need in Africa and the Middle East countries.
