The Embassy participated in the “14th International Friendship Festival 2022” held on 12 - 13 November, 2022 at Showa Memorial Park located in Tachikawa City, Tokyo.
The Tachikawa International Friendship Festival is an annual interaction and connection event between the grassroots of Tachikawa and its environs together with Tokyo-based foreign entities, organized by the Tachikawa Multiculture Center (TMC). The event gave opportunity to participants to promote their national products and understanding among peoples of different cultures and heritages.
The Embassy promoted Tanzania agricultural and manufactured products such as cashew nuts, coffee, tea, wines, beers, and spirits at the festival; displayed Tanzanian's arts and crafts like "Makonde" carvings, "Tingatinga" paintings, and tourism attraction pictures; wrapped traditional clothing such as "Masai shuka" and "kanga"; and played promotional videos including the Tanzania - Royal Tour documentary.
Visitors were excited to see pictures and products that represented Tanzania's richness in heritages and cultures as well as learning about the many opportunities Tanzania has for tourism, trade and investment.
