On 27 March 2026, the Embassy participated in the Final Presentation of the Japan International Cooperation Agency Program for Human Resources Development in the Mining Sector (KIZUNA Program), during which 20 participants presented their research findings and shared their academic and professional experiences gained during their studies in Japan.

Among the presenters were three participants from Tanzania, including two PhD candidates who studied at Kyushu University and Kyoto University, and one Master’s degree graduate from Hokkaido University.

The Embassy was represented at the event by Ms. Edna Dioniz Chuku, Counsellor for Economic Affairs, who attended the session and engaged with the participants and organizers on areas of mutual interest, particularly in strengthening Tanzania’s human resource capacity in the mining sector through continued collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency.
