The Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania organized on 8th November 2022 a joint Coffee Hour event together with “The One Book Association (OBA)” of Japan which was attended by Japanese, and fiends of Tanzania.

The Coffee Hour events have been organized annually at the Embassy with a view to cementing bilateral exchanges between Tanzania and Japan through people-to-people interaction. This year’s event has been organized after the previous one which was held in 2015.  It was attended by 33 people. 

The One Book Association is a non-profit organization which was established in 1967 and has been involved in various humanitarian donations to many countries including, Tanzania. Speaking at the event, His Excellency Ambassador Baraka Luvanda appreciated the long association of One Book Association with Tanzania for many years and the humanitarian assistance that it has rendered to the children in Tanzania and to women empowerment in Tanzania. He called for continued partnership and friendship for many years ahead.

Participants to the event had, among others, the opportunity to learn about the abundant tourist attractions in Tanzania as well as the trade and the unlimited investment opportunities through presentations and through the famous Tanzania Royal Tour Documentary which has been translated in Japanese.
