On 2nd March 2026, the Embassy participated in the KIZUNA Spring Program Presentation Session organised by the Japan International Cooperation Agency at its Headquarters in Tokyo.

One of the presenters was a Tanzanian student studying at Akita University, who delivered a presentation on sustainable mining and advanced industrial solutions, addressing Tanzania’s need to enhance value addition, environmental sustainability, and technological advancement in the mining sector.

The Embassy was represented by Ms. Edna Dioniz Chuku, Counsellor (Economic Affairs). The Embassy also expressed its sincere appreciation to the Government of Japan for the scholarship opportunities extended to Tanzanian students through various initiatives, including the KIZUNA Program of JICA, which continue to contribute significantly to human capacity development and knowledge transfer.
