On 10 March 2026, H.E. Anderson Mutatembwa received a delegation comprising three experts from Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) and two representatives from INGEROSEC Corporation at the Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania in Tokyo.
The delegation paid a courtesy call in connection with the Dodoma Inner Ring Road Project, a key initiative funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency. They briefed the Embassy on the progress of the project, including the completion of the financial evaluation and the scheduled contract signing.
The project, spanning approximately 6.4 km, is designed to complement Dodoma’s outer and future middle ring roads, enhancing urban mobility and reducing traffic congestion. Construction is expected to commence in June 2026 and be completed within two to three years.
Ambassador Mutatembwa welcomed the delegation and commended the strong Tanzania–Japan cooperation in infrastructure development, reaffirming the Embassy’s commitment to supporting such strategic projects.
