On 21 August 2026 Ambassador Anderson Mutatembwa received two Ueshima Coffee Co. Ltd Officials Mr. Satomi Naomi Executive Officer Incharge of Sustainability and Mr. Takahiro Inoue from Agri-Research Center Division at the chancery. The two provided feedback on ELPS Initiave project funded by IFAD Japan and implemented by UCC in increasing productivity and value chain to Small Scale Coffee Farmers in Rungwe, Mbeya Region and Mbinga, Songea Region.
The project which started in 2024 to 2027 is supporting 1,359 Farmers through 9 AMCOS with a budget of USD 458,610 and has improved Tanzania Coffee production and ensured stable supply.
UCC Official have been visiting targeted farmers several times for on site Agricultural Guidance Results like Organic Compost validation and Post-Harvest Drying Process.
