On 13 March 2026, H.E. Anderson Mutatembwa visited FOODEX Japan 2026 and joined the Tanzania delegation exhibiting under the United Nations Development Programme regional framework.

During the visit, the Ambassador toured the UNDP exhibition booth, where a variety of Tanzania products including coffee, wines, spices and value-added food products were showcased. He engaged with exhibitors and interacted with international buyers and partners, highlighting Tanzania’s growing potential in agri-business and food exports.

Ambassador Mutatembwa commended the delegation for effectively promoting Tanzanian products and emphasized the importance of participating in global exhibitions such as FOODEX to enhance market access, attract investment, and strengthen trade relations between Tanzania and Japan. He further underscored the role of such platforms in increasing the visibility and competitiveness of Tanzanian products in the international market.
