On 12th September 2024, H.E. Ambassador Baraka Luvanda received representatives from the IFAD Office of Japan at the Chancery. The discussion focused on the ELPS IFAD's initiative implemented in the southern part of Tanzania - aimed at improving the country’s coffee value chain in collaboration with Japanese coffee stakeholders, including those in the private sector.
Tanzania has been selected as the first country to implement this kind of initiative, showcasing the country's potential and importance in the global coffee market. H.E. Ambassador Luvanda is honored to be the guest speaker at the launch event, which will take place on September 20th, 2024 in Tokyo.
