On 31 March 2026, the Embassy held a meeting at the Chancery with representatives of Fujita Corporation, a Japanese company specializing in construction, housing, and urban development. Discussions focused on follow-up to the mission of Japan International Association for the Industry of Urban Development, Building and Housing (JUBH) member companies to Tanzania in July 2025, particularly in relation to opportunities in real estate and housing development.
The company informed that its planned follow-up visits to Tanzania, which had been scheduled for November 2025 to engage further with the National Housing Corporation (NHC), was postponed. However, it expressed continued interest in undertaking the visit in the near future.
In addition, Fujita Corporation highlighted its ongoing involvement in infrastructure development in Tanzania, including the construction of the Dodoma Inner Ring Road, underscoring its continued commitment to supporting the country’s infrastructure and urban development agenda.
The Embassy encouraged the company to sustain its engagement in Tanzania, particularly in affordable housing and integrated urban development projects, and reaffirmed its readiness to facilitate coordination with relevant institutions to support the realization of these initiatives.
