On 15 December 2025, H.E. Anderson Mutatembwa paid a courtesy visit to Ambassador Takao Imafuku, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director-General for African Affairs at Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting reaffirmed the long-standing and friendly relations between Tanzania and Japan, built over nearly six decades of cooperation. Both sides underscored their shared commitment to strengthening bilateral ties through continued dialogue, mutual trust, and collaboration across political, economic, and development areas.

The discussions reflected the strong partnership between the two countries and their common interest in promoting sustainable development, trade, investment, and people-to-people relations.
