She also explained the objectives and the vision of the Association which mainly aimed at bringing students together with a view to helping each other to resolve some challenges they face as well as to socialize together away from home. She also highlighted that as Tanzanians they are guided by the national pillars of unity and solidarity.

The Chairperson concluded her remarks by asking Ambassador Luvanda to accept the honour of becoming the Patron of TSJ and also to avail himself at various gatherings that the Association will be organizing.

In his remarks, Ambassador Luvanda expressed his commendations to the Founding Members of TSJ, for having conceived the idea and especially, for implementing it. He further explained that the Associations such as theirs were the most effective way of bringing Tanzanians together away from home, and that they served well as a bridge between the Government and Tanzanians abroad.  “That is why the Government has come up with a policy that recognizes formally the contribution from Tanzanian diaspora in the quest for national development agenda” he said.

Ambassador Luvanda told the participating members to also consider associating themselves with the umbrella Association of Tanzanians in Japan, also known as “Tanzanite Society” as it also seeks to advance unity and prosperity of all Tanzanians in Japan.
