Referred Visa

Japanese travel document & Nationals categorized to reffered visa:

  • Provide proof of having host in Tanzania
  • The host should provide detailed information including
    • Physical address
    • Telephone number
    • Employment or Business (ID)
  • Non-Japanese Citizens: $50 (Single entry)
  • Approval for referred visa is given from the Immigration head office
Transit Visa

A transit visa is permission to cross through Tanzania from one entry point to another

It is issued for a maximum of seven days, provided that the applicant is in possession of onward tickets, sufficient funds and an entry visa to the country of destination

  • An entry visa or onward ticket to the intended country of destination
  • Respective visa fee (30 USD)

PLEASE NOTE:

  1. No refund will be made in respect of any rejected visa application
  2. ALL APPLICANTS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO OBSERVE AND COMPLY WITH ALL VISA REGULATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS BEFORE SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION.
  3. The duration to remain in the country is determined by the immigration officer at the port of entry.
  4. All visas are valid from the date of issuance. In the event a visa expires before it is utilized, the applicant will have to re-apply for a new one.
  5. It is emphasized that nationals and persons of the above mentioned countries and/or categories above may not be allowed entry into Tanzania without being in possession of referred visas. See “types of visa” for more information about referred visas
